Sign language training for parents & volunteers to help children with hidden impairments who have speech, language and literacy difficulties.

Children who have difficulty communicating are less likely to access activities outside their home. This limits their participation in social & sport opportunities most people would take for granted, e.g. swimming, sports, youth clubs.

We hope 10 - 15 local people will take up the training, it will enable parents to communicate more fully with their children and increase the ability of our volunteers when they help at WHISH activities
