UPDATE... Thank you so much to everyone who's sponsored us. As a team we clocked up 494 lengths (special mentions to Rosa who swam an amazing 64 lengths and Jen who drove from Bristol to Dundee later that morning). Even more impressive, though, is the money you've raised to help keep our wonderful pool open. We couldn't have done it without you x
On Sunday 30 Jan at 5am (Tom) and 7am (Harriet, Jen, Lisa & Rosa), we will be front crawling/ breast stroking/ doggy paddling our way to help save Jubilee Pool from closure as part of a 24-hour swimathon.
Bristol City Council have wanted to close the pool for years. Last year, they decided it should close for good. Luckily, the local community had their own plan...
Friends of Jubilee Pool are working their socks off to place the future of the pool into the hands of those who care most about it - the people who use it.
Now, the only way the pool can stay open is via a CAT (Community Asset Transfer), but that requires funds. And that's where you come in!
All you need to do is donate a few pounds and we'll get busy clocking up those lengths.
