I am running the Reading half marathon on Sunday 2 March 2014 in support of Reading Citizens Advice Bureau.
Reading CAB is an independent charity who provides free, confidential and impartial advice and anyone in Reading can use their service. They depend on local funding and donations for their survival, and they urgently need your help to continue the excellent work they do.
They help people who are struggling with debt, benefits, housing, employment and discrimination. They also work hard to prevent problems through proactive training, supporting vulnerable people and spotting emerging issues which they take to national level to influence Government policy.
The demand for their service is already greater than they can meet and last year they had to turn away over 2,500 people because they just didn’t have the resources to help them. The demand for their services continues to increase. This is an invaluable service available to anyone in Reading.
