I first came across Carers Bucks when they came along to a Grant giving meeting that I was chairing, it astonished me how many young people were caring in Aylesbury, add in the adult carers and we have an army who are looking after their loved ones.
For me it is the youngsters who are sacrificing their youth to care who really touch me, they need help and support and breaks from this work, and Carers Bucks supplies this to them, but all carers young and older need our help.
This will be a massive challenge for me, this will be my first half marathon, and it's a trail run, off road through mud, up hill and down dale, this will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination but I WILL DO IT, just a little slower than most of the other entrants.
