MARTIN LUTHER KING PROJECT: We can go into schools ourselves - anywhere in the UK - and teach the pupils this especially choreographed piece OR we can arrange for other dance teachers to come here to learn the dance then return to their schools to teach their pupils.

Why they need our service

We know from last year's gang- & drug-related killing in Milton Keynes that we suffer from race crimes here. Using a piece of music by Miri Ben-Ari, the world famous hip-hop violinist, we have choreographed a hip-hop dance which involves wearing T-shirts bearing the words ANY COLOUR SUITS ME*. The dancers all swop their different coloured T-shirts a couple of times in the dance. We want to take this to schools & use it as a starting point for anti-racism project.

Plan and expected results

For our dance to be used as the basis of larger school projects. To introduce young people to the idea of working against racism. To let them use street-dance and hip-hop for something more than they are used to.For these young people to get to know not only Miri Ben-Ari, but other classical artists who perform hip-hop, thus broadening their image of the hip-hop culture.
