With our impending nuptials fast approaching a few kindly souls have already asked what we might like as a wedding present.
In short, nowt. Not physical gifts for ourselves anyway. But we would love it if you could spare a couple of minutes to donate a few pounds (or 20) to a local charity of our choice.
That charity would be Jeremiah's Journey, a Plymouth based support group for families dealing with the loss of a loved one.
A friend of mine lost her 11 year old son a few years ago and Jeremiah's Journey have helped her and her family immensely. They truly are a fantastic organisation that do immeasurable good in providing grieving families positive experiences during times of darkness.
Basically, their need for donations is far greater than our need for duplicate kettles or a spare toaster. So if you could see your way to throwing a little cash towards this wonderful charity we would both be thrilled.
