The Devizes to Westminster canoe race is 125 miles long and we have 4 days to complete it kayaking 34, 36, 38 and 17 miles on consecutive days, over the Easter weekend. My teammate is Nate. We have been training for almost 1 year 2-3 times a week after school. we have also done the waterside series of races as preparation over the previous month. My mom is thoroughly sick of making tiny sandwiches and getting up at 2:30 in the morning to come and support, she is hoping this is the only year i do it so please give generously!. We are supporting the charity Basingstoke young carers which provides support and respite to local children caring for parents with disabilities or terminal illness, its a great cause and i hope you can support it.
