Jamie and Dwayne from Medtronic are taking on an ambitious 150-mile cycling challenge from Ashby-de-la-Zouch to Watford, with a unique twist along the way. At the halfway point, they’ll detour from their route to map out the shape of a brain aneurysm on their bikes, symbolising the cause they are riding for.

Their 150-mile journey represents the 1 in 50 people living with an unruptured brain aneurysm, many of whom may not even know they have one. Through this challenge, Jamie and Dwayne hope to raise awareness of this often hidden condition while supporting the vital work of Hereditary Brain Aneurysm Support (HBAS).

Below, Jamie and Dwayne share why they have chosen to take on this challenge and why supporting HBAS matters to them.

"At Medtronic Neurovascular we are dedicated to supporting physicians who treat patients facing life-threatening brain aneurysms. Every case reminds us that behind the technology and procedures are families whose lives can change in an instant. Riding 150 miles for the Hereditary Brain Aneurysm charity is a way to extend our impact beyond the hospital walls and advocate for greater awareness, early detection, and research for those at genetic risk. We are motivated by the patients, the resilience of survivors, and the hope that through education and funding, we can prevent devastating outcomes and give more families the chance of healthy futures together."
