Sharon Bates who supported and cared for Martin during his debilitating illness is planning to have a Memorial for Martin in Spain. Martin lived life to the full, seizing any opportunity that presented itself to him. He loved children and delighted in being a granddad. He would help everyone in difficulty and although his illness (MND) was very debilitating he made every day special by facing the challenges head on with a smile and determination.
Why they need our serviceSharon said she thinks the Hospice is amazing and certainly the sfaff there enabled Martin to be properly CARED for during her absence. Life limiting illnesses/diseases certainly need this type of care to give the patient and carer peace of mind. The Hospice at Home team must be included in this. You are all very special people!
Plan and expected resultsJohn Taylor Hospice provides expert palliative care to local people. Every week they care for more than 600 patients across all their services - whether that be at the Hospice or in a patient's own home. The Hospice's vision is to make 'every moment matter' for all those they care for and their loved ones. All donations help the hospice to carry out the work they do.-----> PLEASE QUOTE IN MEMORY OF MARTIN BATES WHEN MAKING A DONATION.
