What! I look normal .. well in many ways I am but I do have something you can't see; Yes I have a Mental Illness. On the 11th Oct from 3am I will be walking with Team BPD 15 miles to the start of the official 10 mile walk, so yes a total of 25 miles. Please help us to raise awareness of Mental distress and suicide prevention. I am tired of trying to hide my mental illness, so why do I do that I hear you ask? ... well the biggie for me is society's stigma and discrimination against mental illness. This stigma/ discrimination causes me more problems than the illness itself. Imagine, not being able to talk about the fears and experiences you have without being ridiculed. This is how it feels for myself and so many others (this could be you, a family member, friend or neighbour)it is a lonely and isolating place to be. Imagine being locked in a cold, dark, miserable room with no windows or key for the door. It is lonely, isolating, scary and more importantly can feel never ending. Mental Illness will affect 1 in 4 people in their lifetime that could be you personally or a loved one. Don't wait till it's too late when you or a loved one need the support or face discrimination before you act, you can give a little bit here and help me to change the mentality of society for the better before it's too late. This is only a little part of the reason why this cause means so much to me. If you want to know more about my story or about Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)send me a message at www.facebook.com/Emotionsandcontrol and ask any question you want I'll be happy to answer. But, please sponsor me, every little helps the struggle for me and so any many others walk with our heads held high out of the Darkness society forces us into. I thank you for reading and hope you also want to know more also I hope you feel you can spare a little to raise money for a worthy cause. Together we can change things Thanks again ... Jamaal
