MiaFest is the celebration of Mia's birthday, a weekend festival in September which is designed to invoke the wonder and enjoyment of nature in children. MiaFest 2013 is the first one we have held, where we planted a Mia tree, painted bird boxes, heard stories, made leaf necklaces and heart-shaped bird seed hangers, decorated cakes with Mia leaves, and enjoyed a bonfire, sparklers and fireworks in a safe, family-oriented atmosphere of fun. It is designed to bring nature closer.
Why they need our serviceMiaFest encourages children and their families to interact with nature in imaginative, stimulating ways, allowing them to explore its wonders and learn more about the local habitat, flora and fauna.
Plan and expected resultsChildren see that nature is fun and fascinating! And that the whole family enjoys their MiaFest experience, together. We'd like to think that the MiaFesters went away with a happy sigh, having had a fantastic time and are ready to join in 2014, and bring along their friends.
