I have registered to run in this year's Belfast Half Marathon on 22nd September in aid of The Laurence Trust which was founded by Pamela Nugent, a friend and past colleague. The Laurence Trust holds a special place in my heart having been part of the journey which started with the passing of Pamela's youngest son, Laurence in 2009. I will be raising money to help support men in their daily battle with eating disorders and related issues.
Although I have only started running a few months ago, I will be undertaking my first half marathon in Belfast (what am I thinking!). The run will start and finish at Ormeau Park, course route can be found here.
I have pledged to raise a minimum of £300 so any donation, however small will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support and I will update you all on how broken I will be at the end as I aim to stroll through the 13.1 miles for a great cause.
Well done Michael 🏃🏃
After visiting the physio and debating about running, I managed to complete the Belfast Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd Sept!
