Three runners, one goal — tackling the Battersea Half Marathon to make a difference.

Bhavin, a local dentist and practice owner, Milan, a civil servant working within the Department of Health and Social Care, and Dylan, a second-year university student, are coming together to take on the Battersea Half Marathon. Aged 20, 29 and 36, and with very different running abilities, they’re pushing themselves out of their comfort zones for a cause that really matters.

They are raising money for the Chatty Café Scheme — a fantastic initiative that helps bring people together through conversation. The scheme works with local cafés and community spaces to create welcoming “Chatty Tables,” where people can sit, talk, and connect. It’s especially valuable for those who may be feeling lonely or isolated, offering a simple but powerful way to build friendships and feel part of a community again.

Every mile they run is to help support more spaces like this — places where a conversation can make all the difference.

Any support, big or small, would mean a lot.
