Judith and Miriam's relationship with running is up and down - although we much prefer running on the flat!
Judith proposed to Miriam in Berlin - it's a very special city!
Miriam has run 3 half marathons previously, Judith has NEVER run a half marathon.
Judith mentioned once that she would run a half marathon if it was in a special city - WE ARE RUNNING the Berlin half marathon on April 2nd 2017!
Miriam and Judith will run this together but you too can be part of the story ... by supporting THE KITE TRUST.
This is where it gets serious because a half marathon is serious. We're raising money to support young lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT+) young people in Cambridgeshire. The Kite Trust will use donations to support young LGBT+ people by offering one to one support, group activities to raise confidence and esteem and they will deliver training and workshops in schools and colleges - challenging homophobia and transphobia.
Miriam and Judith grew up in a very different world to the one that young people face today .... HOWEVER we know that young LGBT+ people today can often feel isolated, misunderstood, confused and often feel fear of rejection from peers and family. The Kite Trust are a life line for many young people who would otherwise feel totally alone.
