I am a single parent of 2 children. My eldest attends the Walnuts School. He was diagnosed as autistic in 2008. He started to attend the Walnuts in 2009. It is very fortunate to have a local school specifically for autistic children. My son benefits from the small classes and a high staff ratio.
The Friends of Walnuts are raising money for outdoor equipment to put in the sensory garden. The number 1 item is a Double Rower which costs £1100 to buy and install. A picture can been seen here: http://fresh-airfitness.co.uk/parks-outdoor-fitness-equipment/
For me the marathon is the culmination of a year of running. I started last march not being able to run at all. I tentatively signed up for the Race For Life to run 5K last summer. Since then I have trained every week and undertaken 2 half marathons. I can't quite believe that I have run a half marathon and now about to do a full one!!
