You may remember me mentioning something about Tough Mudder a few months ago...well it's nearly here! Saturday May the 6th to be exact!
And we have decided to use this opportunity to raise some much needed funds for a charity MTG have just started to support - The Otakar Klaus Music Trust (OKMT). We are trying to raise £300 for this amazing charity and it would be great if you could help make this a reality for them!
I will post all the muddy pictures on the Hive when we complete the challenge. The MTG Muddy crew consists of Lauren Byrne, Louise Moller Pedersen, Alexander Tanno, Nils Fergin, myself and a few friends we roped in ;-)
IF WE REACH THE £300 TARGET, LOCALGIVING WILL DOUBLE THIS AMOUNT SO PLEASE HELP US GET THERE!
OKMT provides music therapy and music projects for over 230 people annually, including toddlers and children with disabilities, developmental delay or autism, young people with mental health problems, adults with learning difficulties or neurological disabilities, and elderly people who have dementia, helping to improve their well-being and quality of life.
OKMT Music School for children and young people with disabilities gives them the opportuntity to learn to play an instrument and perform in public, bringing great confidence and pride. As one mother says:
“She is a much more confident child - it is an amazing transformation! Music School has helped her interact with others and greatly enhanced her quality of life. It is so rewarding to see her do well after receiving such a gloomy prognosis at birth.”
To find out more about this small charity with a huge impact, please visit their website - www.okmtrust.co.uk. The 'Power of Music' video will give you a sense of just how much they can touch people's lives.
Thank you as always everyone!! :-)
