My Life is a charity based in Standish who aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness by bringing people together so that they can meet new friends, build relationships, learn new things, gain confidence, be more independent, have fun, and take an active part in their local community.
My Life helps to make lives better for people of all ages who need support to live a good life, including children, young people and adults with disabilities, people with ill health or age-related problems, and people who generally feel lonely or isolated within their communities.
In September, 23 people associated with My Life are attempting to summit Mount Jebel Toubkal which stands at 4200m, making it the tallest mountain in North Africa. They are doing this not only to push themselves but with the hopes that the generous people of the community will respond and help them achieve their funding goal for the people who attend My Life.
