Welcome to my Localgiving page!
On November 11th, I'm running 10k in the Run Tatton event in Cheshire, and I'm raising money for the organisation The Proud Trust.
The Proud Trust is a life saving and life enhancing organisation that helps young people empower themselves to make a positive change for themselves and their communities.
The organisation works with and supports young people who are questioning their sexuality, and/or gender identity. They do this through a range of different support options, such as youth groups and peer support services, and give young people the voice and power to make their mark!
I'm a tad older now, but as a younger person I accessed The Proud Trust (then called LGBT Youth North West). It was the first youth group I could find, when trying to negotiate coming out and what that all meant! I also experienced my first residential with The Proud Trust, having had a very broken education history and never attended any kind of school trips. It was a life changing, and life saving experience for me, and gave me the space I needed, to feel like I belonged.
