The Cadets participate in numerous outdoor activities, including Duke of Edinburgh's Award challenges, the Ten Tors event on Dartmoor, camping, craftsmanship, gliding, orienteering, first aid training, etc. All of the activities undertaken by our air cadets depend on transportation, and usually this is provided by willing parents. We would love to own our own minibus, enabling us to participate in significantly more activities, and helping us to maintain our group identity and esprit de corps.
Why they need our serviceWe make the most of the facilities at our disposal, and the willingness of parents to provide assistance to our cadets whenever possible. However, the lack of appropriate transportation restricts the amount of team-working which can be achieved within their time as cadets. Having our own transportation will enable the cadets to think and act as a group during their travel to events, as well as saving time, effort, complexity in travel coordination and fuel costs
Plan and expected resultsOur cadets will be able to participate in far more adventure activities and enable them to behave as a cohesive unit.
