So .... this is my second time of running a 10km, the first was the Southampton 10km in 2021 when I cried at the end lol! I started running during lockdown with the couch to 5km app and then my daughter got married so I used running as a way of fitting into my dress for the wedding! I haven't done so well since then and have just started running again (beg. July 2023) with a 5km run to do on 22 July and then the 10km on 10 September. Please sponsor me so I feel motivated to get there and succeed!
Amber is a charity that I am passionate about and who I work for, co-ordinating our on-street work with some of the most marginalised and vulnerable women in our city. The 50+ women selling sex on the streets suffer multiple disadvantages including drug and alcohol misuse, violence and exploitation, unstable housing and homelessness, poor mental health, children taken into care, and they feel isolated. We lost one of our women recently at the age of 41 and it has been both sad and sobering. So partly running for you J. x
