Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council is establishing a fundraising event - Northampton Legal Walk to provide funds to support our work in delivering advice and representation to victims of discrimination in Northamptonshire. Please get involved by setting up you own fundraising page and participating in the event. The Walk will take place at Delapre Abbey on 1st May 2014 and the course is 5 kilometers.

Access to justice should be equally available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. In practice it is not the case.Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council works very hard to try to ensure that vulnerable people do have a way of accessing justice through a mixture of funding from local authorities and charitable donations. Receiving the legal advice they need makes a huge difference to these peoples' lives, reducing combatting discrimination and injustice

We hope to raise £2500 from this activity and this will enable us to deliver advice for an extra afternoon a week for victims of discrimination. Will enable us to deliver advice to 50 clients who would otherwise be unable to get access to free advice.
