Being a teenager is never easy for anyone. There are always going to be the 'no-one understands' moments, exam stress and existential crises during the lunch break at school. However, for some teenagers and young people, these problems become much more, perhaps even become overwhelming. Developing a mental health problem during your teens is one thing, but dealing with it is another. When I was 15, I developed depression, anxiety and OCD. It's still difficult to talk about, but it doesn't have to be so. Although I never had the opportunity to use Off The Record, I have friends who have and know it has helped them and many, many others. Mental health doesn't have to be the taboo it is, and simply having someone to talk to can make the world of difference to the young person who is suffering. I know this first hand, and want to support Off The Record this summer by walking Land's End to John o'Groats - a walk of about 1000 miles! I will be mainly camping, trying to reduce the impact of my walk, interspersed with some refreshing hostel stops. I've been planning this for over a year, so any donations are appreciated! I have already had donations from my mum and the Williams family for this charity- although their donations won't appear on this page I want my appreciation to be recognised! Thank you for reading!
