Over the Garden Fence is an Open Gardens Day in aid of The Upper Room**, a fantastic local charity helping disadvantaged people rebuild their lives and develop their employability.
On Sunday 27th May seventeen gardens in Flanchford Road and Hartswood Road W12 will be open to the public, and there will be teas and plant sales. We will open from 2-6pm. Adult tickets are £5 (children free) and can be bought at 2 Flanchford Road and 31 Hartswood Road.
We are busy hoeing, mowing, baking and hoping for good weather! We'd love to see you, but if you can't make it on the day it would be great if you could support us with a donation.
**The Upper Room is a charity working with socially and economically disadvantaged people from some of the most deprived areas of London. They work with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, providing them with food, clothing, toiletries, a friendly environment and support in rebuilding their lives in the long-term. They help ex-offenders learn to drive to improve their employment chances and encourage personal development training and volunteering as a form of restorative justice. They help destitute migrants and other disadvantaged groups enter into sustainable employment by providing skills development training, job search support and by carrying out employer engagement to generate job opportunities.
