As part of Eaton Square School Charity Week I was asked to take part in a fundraising challenge for Chiltren Music Therapy.
When I started sharing my project with my family and friends overseas I felt the need to create a fundraising page where I could explain what I will be doing and the reasons behind it. This way they can easily contribute to my goal.
Inspiration:
My aunt Cátia - She works as a nurse in a coronavirus unit at a London hospital.
One Million Cranes Project - This project made me want to know more about the 1000 cranes Japanese legend. It promises that if you fold 1,000 cranes you get to make a wish granted by the gods. I have confirmed with my friend's mom (they are from Japan) and it is really true. Your wish can be used for people who are ill. I thought it could also be for nurses and doctors at the hospitals (who take care of them) as a way of saying thank you.
Hospital With a Lab (Role Play) - We made it over the Easter break. Our job was try to find a vaccine for the coronavirus. We could not find any, but I am sure the doctors and nurses will find it. Instead of finding a vaccine we mixed potions of hope, laughs, joy and love which seems to be a good way to help everyone.
My challenge:
To fold 26 + 26 paper cranes and give them to my aunt so she can give them to patients she looks after and to other nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants...
To fold 1 bigger paper crane and give it to my aunt so she knows I am proud of her.
