Peer mentors are trained to do 1-2-1 listening and support sessions. These might take place at a youth club, or in a neutral place like a coffee shop. The menteee talks through what their problems are and the mentor listens and helps the mentee work out the best ways forward
Why they need our serviceYoung people who are not out and who are frightened of coming out can get 1-2-1 support from our trained mentors to help them work out their own next steps, and just to give them someone to talk to who will not judge them
Plan and expected resultsYoung people who feel lonely and isolated will now feel able to talk to people and have someone who can help them work out how to improve their lives
