Cheltenham Half Marathon will definitely be my biggest challenge yet; not only is it further than I have EVER run, it is also right at the end of a long Freshers Fortnight! But I know this isn't nearly as tough as the grief a bereaved child or young person faces when someone close dies. Phoenix is an incredible little charity that works tirelessly to support bereaved children, young people and their families in Herefordshire so that they don't have to face the challenge of grief alone.
I certainly can't imagine what I'd have done without the amazing support I received from a local charity after the death of my Aunty and Grandad, just 12 days apart, when I was a teenager. Now, I'm a Youth Ambassador for Phoenix and couldn't be prouder of their work. Providing vital one-to-one support, therapeutic and social groups, Phoenix can be a lifeline for grieving families in their hour of need; just like they were for me.
As a small charity, Phoenix relies on donations, fundraising and small grants so if you can, please support my half marathon challenge so that Phoenix can continue to support bereaved children, young people and families through the challenge of grief. Both Phoenix and myself are extremely grateful for any and all donations. Thank you x
