The Pilatesathon is an opportunity for people to come and join in Pilates classes run by over six different Pilates Instructors from across Calderdale over a 12 hour period.
As someone who has grown up in Calderdale I wanted to do something that would benefit people from the area in more ways than one; people can join in the day, have fun, participate, but also support a local charity which works with women and families across Calderdale.
The Women Centre provides counselling, domestic violence support services, help with mental health and wellbeing and enables women to:
improve health and well-being
increase training and employment opportunities for improved economic conditions
raise self-confidence, self-esteem and social interaction skills
improve citizenship and social inclusion
support the development of positive, safe and stable circumstances and relationships
improve safety and wellbeing of their children
By supporting the Pilatesathon you will enable the WomenCentre to "continue to provide services to women and children, whether it’s telephone or one-to one advice to a woman suffering domestic abuse, a course to help a woman improve her skills and self-confidence or our free counselling service."
Thank you for your support, and please join us on Sunday 26 November between 7am and 7pm for a Pilates class or two! Classes will start on the hour, every hour for the 12 hours. Contact bryony@thebridgepilatesstudio.co.uk to reserve your place on a class or visit www.thebridgepilatesstudio.co.uk/pilatesathon for more information about the day.
