Having reached the grand old age of 50 I decided to set myself a personal challenge of doing a triathlon and trying to raise some money for a worthy charity. It may have taken me a year to finally commit to a date for my 1st triathlon but I am finally registered and have my place booked on the Trowbridge sprint triathlon in May. I will be swimming 400 meters followed by a 25k bike ride and hopefully finishing in one piece with a 5k run.
I have chosen to raise money for a local charity in Frome, Open Story Tellers. The charity relies solely on fundraising and donations, the vision of the charity is to ensure people with learning and communication difficulties can be heard, understood, included and valued.
