Raising Awareness For RASASC

730 days ago, I was raped. I am.not ashamed to say it out loud. I survived and I'm still surviving. 

Last year, on the one year anniversary, I did something way out of my comfort zone to try and raise money for an amazing charity called RASASC.
It is their aim to support all male and female survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Surrey and the surrounding areas.

Through this amazing charity, I was able to get the help I needed, especially in the 6 months following the assault. 
Straight away, RASASC referred me to the Solace Center, who helped me with councilling and support, even after I was discharged.

They gave me a "middle man" between myself and the police so I always knew exactly what was happening and they are continuing to support me as long as I need them to - and this is all for free!

Last year, I released this statement on the 1 year anniversary:
"If there's one thing that can come out of this crappy day, a year on, it's raising money for an incredible charity, so please, please, please, even if it's just £1, please donate and help them continue to offer their support because unfortunately, the message of NO MEANS NO still doesn't seem to be getting through to people."

This statement is still as true today as it was then, so today, with a little help from a very dear friend, I am stepping outside of my comfort zone and raising some more money for the incredible team over at RASASC.
