North East Worcestershire Ravens Rugby League have been lucky enough to be involved with The Charlotte and Craig saving hearts foundation who have supported the club when moving to there new home ground by donating a defibrillator, to ensure the safety of all the club players and supporters.
Many of the players have been effected in different ways by family or friends being effected by heart conditions some of who could of been saved if a defib was around.
We have a young player of 17 years who has been on the pitch when two different people have needed a defib, another juniors coach from there union club was lucky enough to have a defib on site and myself and my sister (Gail & Tracey) recently lost a good friend, who was taken suddenly at home.
We all believe from knowing people or hearing of people close to us that it could happen to anyone and we want to make sure as many people as possible are kept safe.
NEW Ravens are joining forces with one of their sponsors Focal Image, to raise as much money as possible in the hope to get another defib for the Rugby Club to ensure one is not only on site at all times but is also available to take off to away games. The hope is to raise enough that we can also look at getting a defibrillator located on Broad Street, where Focal Image the family run business is based. Focal Image want to work with Ravens as they too have known people that may of been saved.
The pack doing the wolf run ranges from a few Ravens players, parents, supporters and staff from Focal Image.
We hope you will support us to support the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation.
