This September 7th, Rosie and Sarah are going to be running a 5k Spartan sprint with obstacles for local charity, SexYOUality. SexYOUality is a Cambridgeshire charity that supports vulnerable LGB&T youth and challenges homophobia in schools.
Over the next few months we will be training together; climbing walls, swimming, running and building our core strength attending classes in the local gym, getting us fit enough to fight off the Spartan warriors! So a lot of hard work will be going into this!
Rosie's story: I have been a student social worker on placement at SexYOUality since September.
I think they do an amazing job as I have seen first hand just what a difference their involvement makes in people's lives. I think they do such a good job, and love being part of the team here that I am now volunteering with them, even though my placement has finished!
I have never competitively run before, so this is also a personal challenge!
Sarah's story: I am a student midwife with four children of my own and I love running competitively for charities; having completed Spartan last year and really enjoyed it.
This year I am running with friends for a great charity, and am really looking forward to competing in Spartan again.
Please give what you feel you can, every penny counts!!
Thank you for your support :)
