I am looking to complete the Simply Swim /Swimathon ... The challenge I am taking on is to swim 5k ( 200 lengths of a 25 m pool ) in 3 hours on Thursday 28th April. Sorry guys have had to put this back a month due to being ultra busy with work commitments.
I completed the 2.5 Km Swimathon in 2011 and raised money for the event sponsors Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Since November 2013 I have been very lucky to have been involved with Sidney Street Café/ The Proud Trust based at the LGBT Centre in Manchester, an excellent service providing invaluable support/advice and guidance to young people who identify as LGBTQ + , I would love to be able to fundraise for such a fantastic group of staff/volunteers/young people in 2016.
This is also a personal challenge I have set myself, I am looking forward to pushing myself, improving fitness and overall well being whilst raising money for The Proud Trust. Please do not feel obliged to sponsor me, however any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.

I completed 200 lengths in 2 hours and 19 minutes!! It was a slightly shorter pool than I had originally planned to do it in so it was just shy of 5k!
Thanks for all your support and donations. The final amount raised with gift aid was £363 and has been given to such a wonderful organisation to help them be able to continue the great work they do.
