This year I'll be turning 30, but for some kids that age is difficult to make it to.
Off the Record are an incredible charity that set up to offer vulnerable children and young people free, confidential and independent services to help support the development of their emotional health and well-being
What's fantastic is that it's the young people themselves who are involved in planning, reviewing and advising projects on service delivery to help ensure we effectively meet their needs.
One of the really important services they offer is listening support for kids in any situation. Mental illness is still a huge taboo topic, but I know you all know at least one person who suffers from it. It’s a horrible dark place that not even the closest of friends can penetrate with a light. And when you’re young and your world is so small, it can seem like you’ll never break out nor see the point in making it to the next day.
Charities like Off the Record are so important as they offer a someone in a difficult place, in daily life or in mental health, safe support outside of their situation.
So please please will you help me in raising at least £175. It’ll mean they can still just be there for those kids. We were all young once, lets help everyone make it through that turbulent time.
