After all the amazing support I received running for rights last year, I have decided to do it again. If anything the need has become more urgent. Cuts have gone deeper, as have social divisions. Employers are ignoring their responsibilities because there is no-one to challenge them. Landlords are discriminating against people. Children are being bullied at school because of who they love. Hate is spreading like wildfire on social media. As the saying goes "for evil to triumph, good people need only stand by and do nothing." Thank you to all those who stood with me and donated to this cause. It is time to do it all again! I will run Northampton Half Marathon which must be completed in under 3 hours. I went into this cocky thinking I have got this. However personal circumstances have curtailed my training and I am not as fit as I hoped. Initial l runs have been very slow and I have been struggling with my pace. Nevertheless this is really important and I am going to work my butt off to make it happen. It is going to be hard work to get myself to the finish line in time. Luckily have have plenty of inspiration from the amazing work that NREC do.
