I'm doing a marathon!!
Yes........you read it correctly.....a marathon....a full one.....not a half..... well a half as well.....yes me! For all of you that know me well this will come as a huge shock. It is also one for me as a non-runner and someone who sees people running on a Sunday morning and thinks go back to bed and watch Sunday Brunch! Well now I have decided to join those people for whom I have had a sudden and overwhelming increase in respect.
So I wanted a challenge to raise funds for our wonderful service at Imara that is so desperately needed and so desperately in crisis when it comes to funding. A challenge has to be something you hate doesn't it? Well that was my thinking so here I am, well and truly signed up for the Rugby Half Marathon on 17th July 2016 and the Robin Hood Full Marathon on 25th September 2016.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sponsor me, if not for the running, for the fact that my beautifully pedicured toenails may no longer be with me post 25th September!
Seriously every penny counts and I know that every young person that we have supported will help me round every last mile as this is truly nothing compared to what they have conquered.
