Imara's very own Director and three Imara supporters had their hair cut off in November all for the great cause of the Sanctuary Space Project! Remember - all the money raised has the chance to be doubled by Comic Relief!

Imara is a specialist service that supports children, young people and their families following a disclosure of child sexual abuse. Currently it provides services for an average of 100 new individuals annually. Through the legal, advocacy and therapeutic support it offers, Imara aims to ensure the children, young people and families who access the service feel safe. This appeal will enable the service users of Imara to have access to safe and welcoming spaces to access within the building.
We need to raise as much money as possible through this appeal to make the Imara building as nice as possible. The money raised will be used to pay for paint and decor, new furniture, fixing the garden water feature and creating an outdoor mural in the Sanctuary Garden. It will also pay for specialist equipment for our four therapy rooms to ensure Imara can provide the best therapy sessions possible.
If this appeal is successful, Imara will be able to provide its legal, advocacy and therapeutic support to its best standard in order to be the innovative and responsive service it aims to be for those in need of support after trauma.
Through the Comic Relief CrowdMatch Pilot Scheme, if we raise £3,750 before November 30th 2017, we will be eligible for our money to be match funded meaning any donation is worth DOUBLE it's amount!
