I am running to raise funds for The Upper Room, an amazing charity based in Shepherd’s Bush. The Upper Room started back in 1990 as a soup kitchen and has grown over the years into an essential frontline service that provides homeless and vulnerable people with hot meals, food parcels and so much more: life essentials such as clothing, toiletries and sleeping bags, as well as help with difficulties such as benefits, residency and accommodation. With ever-increasing demand for their services, The Upper Room really values every donation it receives: last year they served over 130,000 hot meals and this year that number will be even higher.
