Many of you will know the humorous story of Violet's speedy entrance into the world, but most of you will not know how this event actually affected me. When Violet was 6 weeks old I was diagnosed with postnatal depression. A mixture of the shock of her birth and some very tough feeding issues left me with some serious baby blues!
Mothers for Mothers are a local postnatal depression support group, offering advice and most importantly someone to talk to. They have been an amazing help to me over these last few months and have supported me back to full strength (almost).
I am not a natural runner, the only race I have ever run so far is a 5K race for life, and to be honest I walked most of it. But I chose to sign up for the 10K as a way to get fit after 2 babies. I have decided to raise money for Mothers for Mothers as both an incentive to get me to the finish line and also as a chance to give back to this small but amazing local charity.
I know that anything you can donate would be very much appreciated.
