I decided I would run the Bath Half Marathon again, because I needed a new fitness challenge and also because I wanted to raise money for a charity. Why did I choose Bath City Farm? I started going up to Bath City Farm back in the summer of 2013 as a result of being in hospital. I found going to the farm very therapeutic and relaxing as well as rewarding. It was also a great opportunity to have a break from being on the ward and to meet new people. After being discharged from hospital I continued going up to the farm and volunteering on a Wednesday. Volunteering at the farm contributed to me staying well and also gave me an opportunity to learn new skills and to make new friends. By running the Bath Half Marathon on the 12th March 2017 I hope to raise money for the farm so that people can continue to enjoy this special place in years to come. "The farm is an important asset within the local community, acting as a place of engagement and learning, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere." http://bathcityfarm.org.uk/mental-wellbeing-projects/ - More information about the projects at the Farm, £10 - Will provide fresh bedding to keep all our animals warm for a week £30 - Will pay for new gloves for our volunteers £100 - Will pay for materials for our mental health project for 3 months Please donate whatever you can Thank you.
