WHY: Having learnt from my Mum and Dad's experiences working with adults with learning needs in a horticultural environment and how rewarding this can be I was naturally drawn to the work that is happening at Bath City Farm. As well as this during my time at University I volunteered at a local country park similar to that of Bath City Farm and experienced the great mental health and social benefits this environment can bring.  Therefore realising what a struggle it must be to raise funds during a pandemic and having been fortunate enough to move to the area recently, I thought during the second lockdown I would try and raise some money for a local charity – Bath City Farm.  Running is my passion having ran my first marathon on my 21st birthday during the first lockdown I thought during this lockdown I would try and run 3 marathons, one a week.

BATH CITY FARM exist to:
  • Support disadvantaged and disabled people to develop new skills and confidence
  • Boost emotional, mental, physical and social well-being
  • Inspire environmental awareness and activity
  • Grow the number of people engaging in their community
  • Bring enjoyment to the public
  • Educate people on farming and where their food comes from MARATHON UPDATES:🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ I completed the first marathon on Sunday 15th November in 3hr 40mins! Although a tough experience I thoroughly enjoyed it! Marathon two has been completed today (Saturday 21st November) in 3hr 33mins! Another tough experience running by myself from the start round to Bath, Oldfield (where i had a jelly baby and water pit stop with Anna) through the two tunnels and back to Bradford on Avon where i was joined by my housemate for the last 4 miles :) hugely enjoyed this one. Only ONE LEFT woop! The finale marathon will be Saturday 28th November!! Thank you all for your support and any donations big or small!
