Hello all. The idea to do a skydive first came about when Rachael, a close friend of mine, said she wanted to do a skydive for charity, I mentioned I liked the idea of doing it too and so earlier this year I called her up on the idea, a few weeks later here we are terrified and excited to be doing it the end of July 2015. Rachael works at a non-profitable organisation called S.H.E UK who support survivors of sexual abuse, she is very much dedicated to the work she does and I see the passion she has to want to make a difference. I also wish to make a difference for this charity and all those who use it, so it goes without saying all proceeds will be going to S.H.E.
'It's true that it takes a person to have walked in the same shoes as somebody else to understand who they are, what they have been through and how much pain that journey caused. And human kindness, empathy and support makes a huge difference in times of struggle. I believe by not helping we are supporting the abusers and letting them get away with their wrong doings, behind the closed and private doors the victims hurt more than we can possibly ever experience. All they need is a safe environment, an ear that listens and a support network that can make all the difference to start a journey onto a better life'
Rachael and I want to thank you in advance for your contributions, any support will help and I hope we can raise enough to see this up and coming charity make a huge difference. Help us rise to the sky and show that we will not be beaten!
Sunday 26th July 2015 is the big day, no time to lose!
Thanks Again, Love Rachael and Declan
