Team Fundraisers
So as many of you may know I'm a volunteer for the MK YMCA. In December of last year I organised my own sponsored Sleepout to raise money for the young homeless people of Milton Keynes over Christmas. As we all know homelessness is not just a problem over the festive period but an ongoing problem that needs to be tackled and dealt with in a huge way. We need to come together as a community and as a Country and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
So... I'm going to be taking part in the Sleep Easy campaign run by the MK YMCA themselves. This will involve a lot of people coming together and "Sleeping Rough so others don't have to." To raise awareness and money for the Y. For those of you that don't know the MK Y have recently lost over £194,000 in government funding and are relying on fundraisers and donations to help them support the local homeless.
I will also be taking part in a skydive the following month!! I'm absolutely terrified of heights and the thought of it makes me want to throw up, but I want to make a difference and I want to do things that are totally out of my comfort zone.
