On Sunday 14th June Stuart and Issy Cracknell will be getting the cycling shorts out, applying the Vaseline, and pumping up our tyres…………….. to take part in the St Edmunds Wheel Charity Bike Ride starting and finishing in the Abbey Gardens. We will be cycling 150 miles between us to raise money for SARS (Suffolk Accident Rescue Service). A voluntary critical care emergency service, they provide specially trained doctors and paramedics to assist the East of England Ambulance Service at the scenes of serious incidents. They have attended thousands of incidents and helped save hundreds of lives and they rely on voluntary donations to maintain their life-saving activity. Thank you for your kind donation, it really will make a difference. UPDATE 14.6.15 : Hooray!!! we have completed the challenge after cycling 77 miles each. It was tough for me (Issy) during the last 20 miles as there were so many steep hills to cycle but we both did very well and finished in 5 1/2 hours.Thank you to our family and friends who supported us along the way and to Gemma, Aaron, Rachel, George and Maisy for being there at the finish line to buy us both a yummy hot sausage roll and a lovely cup of tea! Also, many thanks to all our family and friends who have kindly sponsored us for this worthy cause. The final total raised still to be confirmed. Issy and Stuart
