Jubilee is my local pool. It's an important place for me and my family.  My daughter learnt to swim there: swimming lessons and school sessions.
My son, who has Severe Learning Difficulties, swims at Jubilee twice a week. I taught him to swim there and he loves being in the water. He enjoys the Friday accessible swim sessions, meeting friends and getting some physical exercise.
I swim there three times a week and I have learned to swim freestyle over the past two years. The Jubilee Pool, and the Jubilee community, are important for our physical and mental wellbeing.

The Friends of Jubilee, a charitable community group, took over the pool from the council in September through a Community Asset Transfer. They need to raise money to cover winter fuel bills and repair costs and have organised a 24 hour  Jubilee-athon at the end of January to do this.

I took part in this 24-hour swim relay, swimming the 5am-6am slot on Sunday 29th January. I swam 115 lengths all freestyle (2.53km).
