On 22nd June 2023, colleagues from JLA’s Marketing and Analytics team are completing a 21-mile walk to raise money for Focus4Hope. The team will be completing a route around West Yorkshire, where the Focus4Hope hub is based. The route will follow some of the Calderdale Way Relay, starting at Shelf and ending in Cragg Vale.
Focus4Hope is a registered charity, based in Brighouse that seeks to provide support for the homeless, elderly, isolated, and vulnerable in West Yorkshire. They were founded in 2016 as a community-based group of friends, who wanted to develop ways of collectively making a difference in the region. From humble beginnings, the organisation has gone on to become a pillar in the local charitable community.
Focus4Hope have already helped thousands of vulnerable people in the area, as well as refugees in France. In West Yorkshire, they predominantly work with the elderly, the homeless, those who are fleeing domestic violence and isolated/lonely individuals in need of support. They also operate a food bank in Brighouse, close to JLA’s office in Ripponden, that delivers dozens of food parcels to people in the community each week.
