The Youth Service Coordinator and Several Staff and Volunteers will be taking part in the Gaddesby Gallop run on 20th December 2014 to raise money for TeenZone. Teenzone engages with over 300 young people a year, providing opportunities for personal development which are instrumental in their lives. If it's not opportunities to gain leadership skills or team work abilities, then its social skills, which are crucial to the development for every young person. Everything which Teenzone does, is accessible to everyone regardless of their background. We strongly believe that there should be no barriers to good youth provision, so as Teenzone's, whether these be physical, emotional, transportation or financial. Which is why we must do all we can to continue this provision! To find out more about Teenzone, you can view more at their website. To see first hand the activities which take place, built to develop confidence, self-esteem and provide platforms for personal development, just watch this video: http://youtu.be/9E7N8cYyhb4 To view more about the run we will be taking part in, watch this video: http://vimeo.com/m/84980783 Ali's Journey with Teenzone: "My journey with Teenzone started in 2008, when I began volunteering whilst attending sixth form. I didn't expect that nearly seven years later, I would be managing the project, which engages young people in positive activities over 50 weeks of the year. The bottom line is, Teenzone changes lives. It gives young people opportunities which wouldn't come around otherwise, when you play a part in that change, you realise its true value. That is why Teenzone is the organisation I am running for, because without fundraising, donations and grants, the place wouldn't do what it does, and it wouldn't make the difference is currently is. I'm no athlete, but I'll give it my best shot!
