I am taking on the epic challenge of a 17 day trek to Everest base camp on 17th December 2020. As I am self funding I had a choice to raise money for charity. There was never any doubt for me when it came to local charitable organisations: Harmless is a Nottingham based charitable organisation providing support for self harm. Headed by Caroline Harroe CEO one of their projects is The Tomorrow Project. This was established in response to a cluster of suicides in 2012 in East Leake. The Tomorrow Project has two pathways of care: providing support for those in suicide crisis; and offering much needed support to those who are bereaved by suicide. They are a fantastic team of workers dedicated to providing immediate and on-going support, information, training and consultancy. They recently applied for funding to the Governments Covid19 response fund. Despite their work increasing 200% since the beginning of the pandemic, their application was rejected. Please help me raise some vital funds for them by sponsoring me for my challenge. No amount is too small, every penny counts and will help enourmously towards their vital work.
