Welcome to my Local Giving fund-raising page.
I have recently had a carpal tunnel operation and with time off work, and have started enjoying some wonderful walks around our stunning County, so wanted to give something back to the NHS.
So why not get a few of you to sponsor me as I walk?? I log it all with my Strava app and take some great photos of the fantastic scenery on my way.
I want to do this via Cornwall Blood Bikes as my charity of choice due to being a volunteer advanced rider with the charity for a few years with a small break in between.
Cornwall Blood Bikes is an out of hours courier service run entirely by volunteers. They operate Monday to Friday 5pm-7am and 24/7 weekends and bank holidays.
CBB receive no funding from the Government or the NHS and rely entirely on the generosity of the communities of Cornwall with EVERY single penny raised going back into keeping their wheels turning.
From 2020 they have supported the NHS through turbulent times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
2021 they completed over 200,000 operational miles and carried out 6,500 operational jobs including launching their Blood on Board project supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance.
I get to see first hand what all the volunteers at Cornwall Blood Bikes does behind the scene to support our NHS partners and hope that you can help myself and CBB to keep the wheels turning.
