Trubys Garden Tea Room is an interfaith community action group run by Muslim women in Milton Keynes. Our bi-monthly cafes at the Guildhall in the Church of Christ the Cornerstone creates opportunities for interfaith dialogue and raise funds to support local causes.

Less visible is our hardship outreach work which supports families and individuals within the Muslim and the wider community in Milton Keynes with zakat and sadaqha donations including refugee communities settling in MK and women and children taking refuge with MK ACT.  Our support includes financial help with cost of living such as groceries, housing costs, and utilities to enable families and individuals to live with dignity.  Our work is carried out sensitively as many of those in our community do not wish to present themselves to other services and do not wish to be identified as being in hardship.  Our support is long term enabling families and individuals to become self-sufficient.

We ensure all our zakat and sadaqha donations are distributed according to Islamic Sharia law.

Your donation to our on-going hardship fund will enable this valuable support work to continue. It is desperately needed now given the current economic climate and escalating living costs.

Please reference along with your name whether you are donating 'zakat' or 'sadaqha' or 'general hardship'.  For example, in the line where your name goes add Umm Musa zakat or Umm Musa sadaqha or Umm Musa general hardship.
