True Honour is a relatively new charity set up by a victim of honour based violence and forced marriage. It aims to raise awareness of these situations which in turn can save a life. Any victims of honour based violence, forced marriage or FGM can seek help from the charity so any donations will be appreciated.
Our group is part of NCS which is a summer programme that helps young people to develop new skills and give back to the community.
We are a group of teenagers working with True Honour charity to try and give them help.
We want to raise awareness of this situation as it is a sensitive issue in society today, which is not being dealt with seriously. We aim to raise this awareness by making a podcast and video to share on different forms of social media so that many people can be informed of the charity nationally.
The money raised will be used to find new creative ways to raise awareness and may also be used to find the charity a building to use as a base/home.
Any money will make a difference as it will support the charity and it can be the difference between saving a life.
